Reviews are completed as quickly as possible. Follow-up reviews occur approximately every four to six months. Reviews can be handled at your physical office location with very little disruption to your operations or electronically at our office. Identification of cases with Fund potential and submission to the Fund when appropriate. Thorough investigations to develop each claim, for which RCI, at its sole discretion, assumes all costs. Reimbursement request processing which includes: • Copying, • Organizing, and • Submitting each request in compliance with Fund requirements. Quarterly standard status reports or customized reports as needed, on all RCI-assigned claims.
RCI will bear all expenses it generates, using its sole discretion, including, but not limited to costs incurred in investigating potential claim matters, medical opinion charges, private investigation fees and legal expenses; including appeal costs of claims denied by the Second Injury Fund which is incurred by RCI in prosecuting Fund claims. If a claim is denied by the Second Injury Fund and RCI chooses not to appeal the claim, then RCI relinquishes any and all rights to recover fees on the claim.All Second Injury Fund payments are payable solely to the respective insurance carrier and will be forwarded by RCI to the carrier’s insurance company or TPA, at which time RCI will submit invoices for contingency fees on all reimbursements received from the Second Injury Fund.
